Organized by PakJourney – Where High Altitude Meets High Adventure
Overview
Discover the hidden jewels of the Karakoram on this exhilarating expedition to the Latok and Ogre Peaks, two of the world’s most dramatic and technically demanding alpine destinations. Starting from the village of Askole, the trail takes you on a breathtaking 3-day trek to the base camp (4200m), a scenic green plateau shaped like a soccer field, with abundant freshwater streams.
The region is surrounded by spectacular peaks:
- Latok I (7145m)
- Latok II (7108m)
- Latok III (6940m)
- Latok IV (6456m)
- Ogre / Baintha Brakk (7285m)
- Nearby spires: Spaldang (5590m), Biacherahi Towers (5900m), and Lakpila Brakk (5500m)
This area offers a mix of rock and ice climbing, remote wilderness, and rugged terrain. The approach includes scenic valleys, the Panmah and Biafo Glaciers, and Ho Bluk, one of the highest known grazing pastures.
For adventure climbers and alpine photographers alike, this expedition is a gateway to the untouched side of the Karakoram.
