Overview
Embark on an unforgettable journey to the heart of Pakistan’s Karakoram Range with the Baintha Brakk (The Ogre) and Latok Peaks Expedition. These granite towers are among the most technically demanding peaks in the world, attracting elite climbers from around the globe.
Situated near Panmah and Biafo Glaciers, the cluster of Latok peaks (Latok I – IV) and The Ogre (Baintha Brakk) rises sharply above the valleys with near-vertical granite faces that have challenged some of the most iconic names in climbing history.
The trek begins from Askole, the last inhabited village of Baltistan. A scenic three-day trek takes you through lush alpine pastures to the 4200m base camp, nestled in a grassy basin with glacial streams and panoramic views of these towering giants.
This region also includes the Choktoi, Spaldang, Lakpila Brakk, and Biacherahi Towers, making it a playground of untouched granite spires and mixed alpine climbs.

Days 1–5: Arrival and Approach
- Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad – hotel transfer
- Day 2: Fly to Skardu or drive to Chilas if weather delays flight
- Day 3: Drive from Chilas to Skardu (if overland)
- Day 4: Free day in Skardu for sightseeing and final preparation
- Day 5: Jeep drive from Skardu to Askole (last village of Baltistan)
Days 6–7: Trek to Base Camp
- Day 6: Trek to Namla (beautiful alpine valley)
- Day 7: Trek to Mango – base of Latok/Ogre Peaks
Days 8–24: Climbing Activities
- Establish base camp at ~4200m with support crew
- Route preparation and high camp setups
- Climbing days on Latok, Ogre, or surrounding peaks
- Technical rock and alpine-style climbing – fully self-sufficient
- Contingency days for weather and summit attempt
Days 25–30: Return and Departure
- Day 25: Trek back to Askole
- Day 26: Jeep back to Skardu
