Overview
Often referred to as the “Chamonix of the Karakoram,” the Charakusa Valley lies at the northern end of the majestic Hushe Valley. This alpine wonderland offers a unique concentration of towering granite walls, icy summits, and pristine trekking routes—all within a 3-day walk from the road head in Hushe village.
This valley is a dream for alpine climbers, trekkers, and mountaineers, featuring some of the most striking peaks in the region, including:
- K6 (7281m)
- K7 (6934m)
- Link Sar (7041m)
- Drifika (6650m)
- Kapura Peak (6545m)
- Namika (6325m)
- Niza Peak and many unclimbed summits under 6000m

Days 1–4: Arrival and Preparation
- Day 1: Arrive in Islamabad – hotel transfer
- Day 2: Briefing at the Ministry of Tourism
- Day 3: Fly or drive to Skardu
- Day 4: Free day in Skardu – sightseeing or gear checks
Days 5–7: Drive & Trek to Base Camp
- Day 5: Drive to Hushe Village, Baltistan
- Day 6: Trek to Shayechu Camp
- Day 7: Trek to K6/K7 Base Camp in Charakusa Valley
Days 8–24: Climbing and Exploration
- Set up advanced camps and attempt peaks of your choice
- Climbing options from 5000m to over 7000m
- Mixed rock and ice routes with full logistical support
- Time for acclimatization, weather windows, and summit pushes
Days 25–30: Return and Debriefing
- Day 25: Trek back to Hushe Village
- Day 26: Drive to Skardu
- Day 27: Fly to Islamabad or drive to Chilas
- Day 28: Free day in Islamabad or arrival from Chilas
- Day 29: Final debriefing at the Ministry of Tourism
- Day 30: Transfer to airport – onward journey
