Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Islamabad
Welcome at the airport and transfer to hotel. Short briefing and gear check. Optional sightseeing.
Day 2: Flight to Skardu (or drive to Chilas if flight canceled)
Weather permitting, enjoy the most scenic flight in Pakistan, flying over Nanga Parbat. If unavailable, drive via the Karakoram Highway.
Day 3: Free Day in Skardu (or drive Chilas to Skardu)
Explore Skardu Bazaar, Shigar Fort, or relax by the Indus River. Road travelers arrive today.
Day 4: Drive to Hushe Valley (3,000m)
A full-day drive takes you along rivers, gorges, and green fields into Hushe, the last village before the Karakoram wilderness begins.
Day 5: Trek to Brumbramah (3,300m)
We begin our walk through beautiful alpine terrain to Brumbramah, a high meadow with views of Masherbrum.
Day 6: Brumbramah to Masherbrum Base Camp
Hike through glacier trails and lateral moraines to reach the base of Masherbrum. Camp at the foot of the mighty peak.
Day 7: Exploration Day at Masherbrum Base Camp
Rest or explore the glacier valley. Enjoy dramatic views, photograph landscapes, and acclimatize.
Day 8: Return to Brumbramah
We descend back to the peaceful meadow camp, retracing our scenic trail.
Day 9: Trek to Shaishcho (3,350m)
Trek down the valley to Shaishcho, a large green campsite at the junction of multiple trails.
Day 10: Trek to Dalzampa
We ascend gradually through pine forests and boulder fields to Dalzampa, a beautiful high-altitude pasture.
Day 11: Trek to Gondogoro Peak Base Camp (Khuispan)
We move deeper into the Karakoram to reach Khuispan, the base of Gondogoro Peak (5,860m). This remote glacier camp is dramatic and pristine.
Day 12: Optional Summit Attempt – Gondogoro Peak
For trained and adventurous trekkers, an early morning climb of Gondogoro Peak (non-technical but steep) is possible with guides and gear. Others can explore glacier areas or rest.
Day 13: Return to Shaishcho
We begin our descent back down the same route, camping again at Shaishcho.
Day 14: Trek to K7 Base Camp
We follow a different trail to reach K7 Base Camp, one of the most striking and less-visited sites in the region.
Day 15: Return to Shaishcho
After enjoying views of K7 and surrounding granite towers, we return to Shaishcho.
Day 16: Trek to Hushe Village
Our final trekking day leads us back to Hushe, where hot showers and home-cooked meals await.
Day 17: Drive to Skardu
We return by jeep to Skardu. Spend the evening shopping, sightseeing, or relaxing.
Day 18: Fly to Islamabad / Drive to Chilas
Catch a flight back to Islamabad (weather dependent). Otherwise, begin the return journey by road.
Day 19: Free Day in Islamabad / Complete Road Journey
If already in Islamabad, enjoy the city’s best food and culture. Otherwise, arrive from Chilas.
Day 20: Departure
Transfer to the airport for your onward international flight. Say goodbye to the Karakoram, but take home lifelong memories.
