Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival in Islamabad
Arrive at Islamabad International Airport. Meet the PakJourney team and transfer to hotel for rest and briefing.
Day 2 – Rest and Preparation in Islamabad
A free day for gear check, last-minute purchases, or a short sightseeing tour to Faisal Mosque or Lok Virsa Museum.
Day 3 – Fly to Skardu
Enjoy one of the world’s most scenic mountain flights over Nanga Parbat and the western Himalayas. If the flight is canceled, the group will begin the drive to Chilas via Babusar Pass or KKH.
Day 4 – Rest Day in Skardu
Acclimatize, explore Skardu Bazaar, or take optional excursions to Shigar Fort and Satpara Lake.
Day 5 – Drive from Skardu to Doko (via Jeep)
A scenic jeep drive into Shigar Valley takes us to the road’s end at Doko, the starting point of our trek.
Day 6 – Trek from Doko to Arandu
Our trek begins with a gradual ascent along the Chogolungma Glacier. Arandu is a remote shepherd village with awe-inspiring surroundings.
Day 7 – Trek to Chogo Brangsa
Follow the glacier trail and ascend toward Chogo Brangsa, with views of Spantik and other peaks dominating the skyline.
Day 8 – Trek to Bolocho
As we move deeper into glacial terrain, we camp at Bolocho, a rocky alpine camp with wild winds and surreal views.
Day 9 – Trek to Laila Peak Base Camp
Reach the base of Laila Peak, the needle-like summit that photographers and climbers dream of. The view is breathtaking and rewarding.
Day 10 – Cross to Sharing Camp (Glacier Crossing)
Today is challenging as we navigate crevasses, moraines, and icy trails to reach Sharing Camp, preparing for the Haramosh La crossing.
Day 11 – Cross Haramosh La (4,800m)
An alpine start takes us to the top of Haramosh La, where you’ll enjoy unmatched views of Haramosh Peak, Mani Peak, and glacier valleys on both sides. We descend to the Haramosh side.
Day 12 – Trek to Kutwal Lake
Reach the emerald-colored Kutwal Lake, set beneath soaring cliffs and fed by glacial meltwater. One of the most peaceful and scenic camps on the trek.
Day 13 – Trek to Sassi Village
Descend from Kutwal through green meadows and pine forests to Sassi, where civilization begins again.
Day 14 – Drive to Chilas (via Gilgit Road)
Board jeeps for a bumpy yet scenic ride to Chilas, reconnecting with the Karakoram Highway. Overnight at hotel.
Day 15 – Drive to Islamabad
Complete the return journey to Islamabad via Babusar Pass or Besham, depending on road conditions.
Day 16 – Departure Day
Airport transfer for your return flight. Optional city tour or farewell lunch depending on your schedule.
